ParentPay is a very secure website used by a high proportion of schools.
Jack Hunt School implemented ParentPay in October 2015 in order for parents/carers to have better oversight of the monies they are paying to the school; to have the option of paying by debit or credit card and to be able to make payments at a time of their choosing. This helps the school by reducing the amount of cash on the premises.
We ask all parents/carers to only use our e-payment method to pay for school trips, music lessons, stationery, revision guides and anything else that is available through the school shop. The ability to pay for school lunches was added in February 2016.
Uniform remains purchasable from Chromasports and Trophies.
The Jack Hunt Dance and Theatre School has also been able to take advantage of this convenient payment method, albeit through a separate ParentPay account. Therefore if you have a student at the secondary school who also attends the Dance and Theatre School you will need an activation letter for both accounts, please see the FAQ which explains how you can manage both accounts with one login.
ParentPay holds an electronic record of your payments to view at a later date. Once you have activated your account you can make online payments straight away.
Those parents/carers of the secondary school wishing to pay cash may continue to send it with the student to pay into the school shop at morning break. Parents/carers who do not wish to send cash via the student or use the electronic payments system should contact the school finance office on 01733 263526 ext155 to request the option of paying with cash via PayPoint, however, this is costly for the school so please consider that before requesting the option.
Those parent/carers of the Dance and Theatre School wishing to pay cash may do so at the Community Reception.
The option of paying by cheque ceased with the implementation of ParentPay. Unfortunately, a number of cheques had bounced causing costs and administration for the school. Now that we are providing the option to pay by card we hope this will not be a problem.

- How do I add an additional account to my existing ParentPay login?
If you already have a ParentPay account, either with our school, the Jack Hunt Dance and Theatre School or another ParentPay school, you can simply login to that account and add your other children via the Add a child tab on your home page. You will need an activation username and password to do this. If you have a student who also attends the Jack Hunt Dance and Theatre school you will need a separate activation letter for that activity, these were originally sent out in October 2015, to obtain a copy please contact the Community Reception. If you set up your ParentPay account from the Jack Hunt Dance and Theatre school letter you will need to access the activation letter on KITE to add your student, using the Add a child tab, to access the main school trips and lunch card top ups.
- How do I set up a ParentPay login?
You have a secure online account, activated using a unique activation username and password; you will be prompted to change these upon activation. Your permanent username will be the e-mail address you supply upon activation.
If you have two or more children at a ParentPay school, you only need to activate one account to create your ‘main account’ and then add your other children via the Add a child tab on your home page.

- How do I obtain an activation username and password?
Parents/carers of the secondary school should log into the KITE learning platform, choose your child from the dashboard and select the Reports and Communications Tab. You will find a ParentPay activation letter, which contains the activation username and password.
Parent/carers of the Dance and Theatre School should request a copy at the Community Reception.
- How do I access KITE?
All parents have been issued with a username and password giving secure access to information about their child.
- What do I do if I don't know KITE password?
Should you have forgotten your password, you can request a reminder from the login page on Kite or email firstname.lastname@example.org directly. If you have registered your email address with the school we will be able to email this to you.
- After Activation what are my ParentPay username and password?
Once activated you do not need to keep the activation details. Your username will be the e-mail address you supplied as part of the activation process and your password will be the one you set up, also as part of the activation password.
- What happens if I forget my ParentPay password?
The ParentPay website has a forgotten password button on the login page, please click on that and follow the instructions
- I have correctly activated my ParentPay account but I cannot see the item I am looking for?
Underneath the list of times you can see is a “Pay for more items” button, if you click on this then all items will be displayed.
- I cannot see the Add a child tab?
With some internet settings this is displayed as 'Add a' missing the word child, if you click on the 'Add a' tab it will work as required.
- How can I pay for school lunches?
Locate the item called School Meal Payments – Jack hunt School, see the FAQ above for finding items, and pay between £5 and £200.
- How do I know what my student has had for lunch?
In addition to making payments, parents/carers will be able to login and see what their student has purchased. These details will be visible regardless of how you pay Bouygues and also to those entitled to Free School Meals.
- How do I obtain a refund?
If the school or dance and theatre school has confirmed a refund has been made to your account you need to follow the process below:

|2.||Click on the Parent Account tab from the top of your homepage|
|3.||Click in the withdraw button|
|4.||Enter the amount you wish to be refunded, this can be any amount up to the amount you have been refunded|
|5.||Click on the Make Withdrawal button|
|6.||If the card you used to make payment has expired then you will be given the option of a BACS or cheque refund and instructions will appear as to how you make that choice.|
