Prospective Sixth Form Open Evening

As Year 11s prepare for their GCSEs, they will also be starting to think about the next stage of their education and the Jack Hunt School Prospective Sixth Form Open Evening will take place on Wednesday 2 November 2016 at 6.30pm

 
As Year 11s prepare for their GCSEs, they will also be starting to think about the next stage of their education and the Jack Hunt School Prospective Sixth Form Evening will take place on Wednesday 2 November 2016 at 6.30pm
 
During the evening students and parents will be given information about life in the Sixth Form and details about the wide range of options that are available at Post 16 in Jack Hunt School.  There will also be an opportunity to discuss various options with subject staff who will all be available in Block 4 during the evening. 
 
Peterborough Regional College and New College Stamford will also be making presentations on the Level 1 and 2 programmes they offer, should that be a more appropriate destination.
 
The programme for the evening will be:
 
6.30 - 6.40pm
Welcome Presentation in the Assembly Hall
Mrs P Kilbey - Headteacher & Mr S Fricker - Head of Sixth Form
 
6.40 - 6.55pm
Presentations by the Peterborough Regional College and New College Stamford 
 
6.55 - 8.25pm
Visit to rooms in Block 4 -  an opportunity to see the facilities available and discuss courses with subject staff.  
Mr S Fricker and other members of staff will be available to answer questions concerning specific entrance requirements for subjects
 
In addition there will be two presentations led by Sixth Form students in the Roy Duncan Sixth Form Centre.  Parents will also be able to tour the Roy Duncan Sixth Form Centre before the presentations begin.  Please register with the Deputy Head Boy in the Assembly Hall if you would like to tour the Sixth Form Centre before the Sixth Form presentations.  The presentations will take place at:
 
7.10pm and 7.40pm

We very much look forward to welcoming students and parents/carers to this important evening where they can hear about options for future study and see the facilities that Jack Hunt School have on offer.
 
For Jack Hunt Year 11 students there is a letter attached to your Kite Profile with a response slip to be completed and returned Monday 31 October 2016 – to assist us with our seating plans.
