Announcement: Lunch Card Payments

 We are pleased to inform you that from 9am on Monday 22 February 2016 parents/carers will be able to top up lunch cards using a debit or credit card through the ParentPay system, in addition to topping up using the existing cash method.  Cheques will NO longer be accepted by Bouygues.  Parents/carers already set up on ParentPay do not need to do anything to activate this new item - it will be visible for payments from 9am on Monday 22 February 2016.  Our catering company Bouygues will accept payments of between £5.00 and £200.00 on ParentPay.

In addition to making payments, parents/carers will be able to login and see what their student has purchased.  These details will be visible regardless of how you pay Bouygues and also to those entitled to Free School Meals.

By way of reminder, in October 2015 Jack Hunt School implemented ParentPay in order for parents/carers to have better oversight of the monies they are paying to the school; to have the option of paying by debit or credit card and to be able to make payments at a time of their choosing.  This also helps the school by reducing the amount of cash on the premises.  We asked all parents/carers to only use our e-payment method to pay for school trips, music lessons, stationery, revision guides and anything else that is available through the school shop. This can be done online using a very secure website called ParentPay or in cash at local stores where you see the PayPoint logo.  Uniform remains purchasable from Chromasports and Trophies

ParentPay holds an electronic record of your payments to view at a later date. Once you have activated your account you can make online payments straight away.  If you haven't yet set up your account, there are details at the end of this page about how to get started.

Those parents/carers wishing to pay cash may continue to send it with the student to pay into the school shop at morning break.  Parents/carers who do not wish to send cash via the student or use the electronic payments system should contact the school finance office on 01733 263526 ext155 to request the option of paying with cash via PayPoint, however, this is costly for the school so please consider that before requesting the option.

The option of paying the school by cheque ceased in October 2015.  Unfortunately, a number of cheques had bounced causing costs and administration for the school.  Now that we are providing the option to pay by card we hope this will not be a problem.

Already have a ParentPay account?

If you already have a ParentPay account, either with our school, the Jack Hunt Dance and Theatre School or another ParentPay school, you can simply login to that account and add your other children via the Add a child tab on your home page.  You will need an activation username and password to do this.  If you have a student who also attends the Jack Hunt Dance and Theatre school you will need a separate activation letter for that activity, these were originally sent out in October 2015, to obtain a copy please contact the Community Reception.  If you set up your ParentPay account from the Jack Hunt Dance and Theatre school letter you will need to access the activation letter on KITE to add your student, using the Add a child tab, to access the main school trips and lunch card top ups.

New to ParentPay?

You have a secure online account, activated using a unique activation username and password; you will be prompted to change these upon activation.  Your permanent username will be the e-mail address you supply upon activation.

If you have two or more children at a ParentPay school, you only need to activate one account to create your ‘main account’ and then add your other children via the Add a child tab on your home page.

How do I obtain an activation username and password?
Log into the KITE learning platform, choose your child from the dashboard and select the Reports and Communications Tab.  You will find a ParentPay activation letter, which contains the activation username and password.

How do I access KITE?
Kite can be accessed from the link on the homepage of our main school website or you can go directly to

All parents have been issued with a username and password giving secure access to information about their child.

How do reset my KITE password?
Should you have forgotten your password, you can request a reminder from the login page on Kite.  If you have registered your email address with the school we will be able to email this to you.

After Activation what are my ParentPay username and password?

Once activated you do not need to keep the activation details.  Your username will be the e-mail address you supplied as part of the activation process and your password will be the one you set up, also as part of the activation password.

What happens if I forget my ParentPay password?

The ParentPay website has a forgotten password button on the login page, please click on that and follow the instructions

I have correctly activated my ParentPay account but I cannot see the trip I am looking for?

Underneath the list of times you can see is a “Pay for more items” button, if you click on this then all items will be displayed.

I cannot see the Add a child tab?

With some internet settings this is displayed as 'Add a', missing the word child.  If you click on the 'Add a' tab it will work as required.
