This term we are holding ‘Mini Big Finish’ fundraisers every week for different charities. On our first week it was the turn of Kennedy house but last Friday was especially important for Brunel as it was Children in Need and Anti-Bullying Week too.
Our Annual Sports Awards Evening held on Thursday 17 November celebrates a fantastic year of sport, showcasing the many achievements of students from year 4 to year 13.

As you may be aware it is Children in Need on Friday 18 November 2016. You may also be aware that this next week is Anti-Bullying Week (14 November 2016 to 18 November 2016.)
As a school we will be supporting both causes on Friday 18 November 2016.

As Year 11s prepare for their GCSEs, they will also be starting to think about the next stage of their education and the Jack Hunt School Prospective Sixth Form Open Evening will take place on Wednesday 2 November 2016 at 6.30pm.
Last Wednesday afternoon, we welcomed 60 Year 4 pupils from Highlees Primary School who had come in as part of their ‘potions’ topic to find out more about working in a Science Lab and to have some fun carrying out some experiments.
On wednesday 19 October ex-student and Paralympic Gold medallist James Fox came into school on Wednesday whilst in between the Olympic parades in Manchester and London (including a visit to Buckingham Palace) and travelling to the USA to take part in another rowing race this weekend.
