The City School Darakhshan Campus Hosts Global ‘Diversity Day’ Celebration in Collaboration with Jack Hunt Academy

The City School Darakhshan Campus delivered an inspiring and vibrant Diversity Day Event this week, held in collaboration with Jack Hunt Academy and partner schools around the world, in honour of Universal Children’s Day. This year’s theme, “Fusion of Cultures Through Diversity,” brought together students, families, and educators to celebrate creativity, cultural identity, and global connection.
The event was a tremendous success, drawing an impressive 500–600 students, parents, and guests, with pupils from several partner schools also taking part. The hall and outdoor spaces were transformed into lively hubs of colour, sound, and creativity as visitors explored a wide range of interactive zones and performances.
A major highlight of the programme was its diverse line-up of activities, including an Art Zone, Cultural Performances, Cooking Arena, Global Food Street, and Fun Alley. These stations allowed students to display their artistic talents, share traditional foods, perform culturally significant dances and music, and collaborate with peers from other schools. The event not only celebrated diversity but also encouraged teamwork, confidence, and cultural curiosity—especially among the younger students in Prep I to Prep III.
The event was honoured by several distinguished Chief Guests, including renowned Ghazal singer Salman Alvi, acclaimed actor Aliya Imam, and celebrated singer Azher Hussain, who lent their support and enthusiasm to the day’s festivities.
“Creative Thrillathon 1.0,” as the event was titled, successfully achieved its aims of celebrating cultural richness, fostering global collaboration, and providing meaningful learning opportunities through creativity and performance. The day stood as a powerful reminder of The City School’s commitment to creativity, global learning, and holistic development, and the strong international partnerships that continue to inspire students across the world.
A huge congratulations to the Darakhshan Campus team for delivering such an impactful and memorable event—one that truly embodied the spirit of Universal Children’s Day and the beauty of cultural fusion.
