Sixth Form Prospectus Evening
Annual Prospectus Evening held on Wednesday 31 October
On Wednesday 31 October 2018 we hosted our annual Sixth Form Open Evening, which was very successful. A large number of Year 11 students from Jack Hunt School and other surrounding schools attended to discover what Jack Hunt School can offer in terms of high quality Post 16 education.
Mrs Kilbey, Headteacher and Mr Perkins, Associate Assistant Headteacher, along with representatives from Peterborough Regional College and Stamford College gave presentations which outlined what students can expect when making the step up to A Levels and alternative Level 3 courses. There was then an outstanding presentation by Jack Hunt School’s Head Prefect Team, who gave the students some great advice on making the transition to A Level courses and the wider life of a Sixth Form student. They also spoke about all the rich and wonderful opportunities that students can be involved in.
Students, Parents and Carers were then given the opportunity to visit Curriculum Areas. They could discuss the courses that are available and get more of an idea on what the courses entail and the entry requirements. Applications for the Sixth Form are done through ‘UCAS Progress’, students are being given details of how to do this through PDE lessons, the deadline for applications is 25 January 2019
More details of entry requirements and application details are on the Jack Hunt School website in the ‘Sixth Form’ area.
