Attendance Award won by Year 8 student, Demi-Lea Johnson.

In January we launched an incentive, supported by Vision for Education, for students achieving 100% attendance per half term. Demi-Lea, is our first winner and has actually attended school every day so far this year, so is fitting that she won the award.

Louise Butterworth, from Vision for Education presented the award which was attended by Mr Johnson, Demi-Lea's Father, Miss Cliffe (Attendance Lead) and Fiona Miller (Attendance Officer).

The award is one of many strategies for improving student attendance at School. We want to encourage, celebrate, and reward all students achieving 100% attendance over each half term.

The award, which is sponsored by the recruitment agency, Vision for Education is available to every student who attends school every day for each half term. Students are entered into a draw to win a £25 voucher, which can be used in many local restaurants, they also receive 25 positive behaviour points.

Louise Butterworth, the Senior Recruitment Consultant at Vision for Education’s Peterborough branch, said: “ We are committed to helping schools improve and promote good attendance, as going to school every day and arriving on time is one of the most important things students can do to achieve academic success.”

Congratulations to the  414 students at Jack Hunt School who successfully achieved 100% attendance throughout the first half of the Spring term. The winner of Vision for Education’s attendance receives a £25 gift voucher.
