Senior Citizens Entertained by Students at Annual Christmas Party

On Monday 16 December senior local residents and those with connections to the school were invited to attend the annual Community Christmas party organised by Jack Hunt students. The party is an excellent opportunity for members of the local community to learn more about the school and socialise with students.

Members of the School Council, assisted by a number of other students including those speaking a variety of languages and from the Hearing Unit made and sent invitations, organised food and drink and entertainment for the visitors.

Guests included residents of Wentworth Croft residential home, local residents and grandparents of Jack Hunt students, many of whom look forward to it all year.  They were entertained with performances from the School Choir and Dance Group, as well as magic from student, Danyal.

Film Club member, Sebastian Roberts (Yr10) together with Matija Zivoti (Yr10) made this short film from the photographs and film they had taken of students preparing for the party and everyone enjoying themselves.

Mr Keber, Head of House said, "The annual Community Christmas party is designed to bring members of the community together and in future we would like to open it to all grandparents of Jack Hunt students and local senior citizens, especially those that are new to the area."

He continued, "We are very proud of the hardwork and energy the students put in to organising the party and the residents had a very enjoyable time."
